About the Iowa West Foundation
Who We Are
Based in Council Bluffs, Iowa, the Iowa West Foundation has channeled more than $500,000 million in grants & initiatives into 18 counties in our region. Our funding helps communities succeed. While some of our projects make for great conversation starters, it’s our passion for the livelihood of southwest Iowa, our collaborative nature, and our visionary approach to the work that keep the conversation going and get things done. Only together can we continue to improve lives and strengthen our communities.

How We're Funded
The Iowa West Foundation receives its funding for grants from investment income and also from the Iowa West Racing Association. The association receives contracted fees from casino operators, Ameristar and Harrah’s.
